VISIT TO THE ‘DOGGY DOCTOR’

“Woof woof Wufff” to everyone.
I hope you have all been well since my last ‘Doggy Blog’.

Sometimes, it’s hard being a Puppy. I try to understand Human words, and I try to figure out what all you people are saying. I like to learn. Just recently, I learned new words like, ‘Surgery’, and ‘Operation’.

I’ve had a belly problem for a short while, so my folks took me to the ‘Doggy Doctor’. He said that I had bladder stones. So, last Friday, he removed them. I have had to have stitches in my belly for ten days. These things get itchy, but my folks won’t let me lick or scratch them. They’re just so irritating. I have to take things easy for a while. No running fast. No Jumping.

Life at ELFIE’s PLACE has been busy. Lots of people, and some Puppies, come to stay. I like to greet them.


People and Puppies have been asking how I am and coming to see me. I got a surprise visitor. TIGGER.

Right now, there’s a nice young lady staying with a friend. Her name is Lorna. She also brought her Dog. His name is DIEGO, and he’s two years old. DIEGO and I get on great. He came from the ‘Rescue Centre’ too.

The evening they were to arrive was getting late. So my PA phoned Lorna. She said that they were arriving by Ferry at Long Harbour and didn’t know the way to ELFIE’s PLACE. So PA said to her, “Stay there and we’ll meet you to show you the way”. I went with my PA in the car. It was very dark.

We met Lorna and her friend, and DIEGO, and were home an hour after the phone call. It was like a late night adventure. And I like adventures.

Lorna thinks that ELFIE’s PLACE is ‘AWESOME’.

Lots of fun when you’re a Dog.

“Woof woof, wuff” to you all. I hope you’ve been reading from the bottom of this page, as that’s where my adventures start.

If you’ve just read about my adventures (below), you’ll know that we moved to our new home here at ELFIE’s PLACE just four months ago. It’s so exciting. New things to see. New People, and Puppies, to meet.

This past weekend, I took a break from checking the boxes that my folks moved into the house (see previous story). We had some very nice people stay with us, AND they brought their Dog. His name is DARBI. We even had our photo taken together.

I’m the cute one on the left.

Not all Puppies can settle down when they visit somewhere other than their home. DARBI told me that one time, he visited another place. He said that he had some ‘weird’ dreams.
He told me how he dreamed that he got mixed up with some gangster racket….

Then ,he got held up at gun-point…. Scary!!


He tried to make a run for it, but when he got to the ‘get-away’ car, guess who was driving? The same Dalmation that he saw on the rooftop. DARBI thought that he was in trouble now. Even worse trouble when the Dalmation turned to him and said……


I told DARBI not to worry. “You’re at ELFIE’s PLACE now”, I said.

So, for the rest of the day, we forgot about ‘scary stuff’, and just played and had fun at ELFIE’s PLACE. A place to relax and enjoy.
